I’m 40, live in North Cornwall, England and make my living online.
For 10 years, I worked a 9-5 job (or more accurately a 7-6 job!) and was fortunate enough to be fairly successful working in the financial services industry.
However, I knew something was missing…
This is not to say that I didn’t enjoy my old job, I did. But I knew that it could never deliver me the real freedom that I desired.
So, in March 2010 I began “experimenting” online. Coming from literally zero knowledge of the internet and how to make money on it, the first few months were a massive learning curve and also pretty frustrating.
But I kept at it.
In September 2010 I was confident enough in my progress to take the leap and go full time with my online business.
In May 2011 I launched my first major online product (in the stock market niche) which ended up grossing well over 6-figures in sales revenue. Since then I’ve sold multiple times that amount through marketing digital products (i.e., PDF reports, video courses, audio interviews, membership sites & software).
Some of these products I have created myself (or in the case of software, paid outsourcers to create for me) and some of my income comes from affiliate marketing (i.e., promoting other people’s products in return for a commission).
Today, I feel so lucky to be working for myself and running my online business. It allows me the freedom to plan my days, take holidays/vacations and see my family and friends whenever I choose.
